Hey everyone! Welcome to another Agendaless Transmission.
We didn’t have any shows booked for 2024, but Mihi Nihil reached out with an offer we couldn’t refuse, so we’re dressing up and playing a pre-Halloween party in Hollywood at Gold Diggers THIS SUNDAY (Oct 27!)
We’re gonna learn a choice cover, dust off some oldies and test out a handful of brand new tunes while in costume and in fact, we encourage costumes. It should be a really good time. We are on at 8pm!
For those who hate the parking at Gold Diggers, fear not. There is a free parking lot at 5731 Santa Monica Blvd. (one block west of Gold Diggers) It’s the best kept secret in town. Just don’t tell anyone we told you…

Speaking of new tunes, we’ve been plugging away at the Laguna Beach recordings and, as mentioned on the last Transmission, we are going back in to Studio Red in November to track even more songs with our buddy Adam Lasus! We’ll be playing new songs as the shows come, and we hope to have something to share in early 2025 with everyone.
For some of the acoustic instruments on one of the songs we recorded the other day, Jake used a recording technique of a binaural dummy head microphone. This setup mimics “the physical properties and paths that a sound follows to our eardrums, with the left and right microphone diaphragms acting as eardrums”. It’s a pretty cool! For further reading
/ Tape Op has an article about it here: https://tapeop.com/tutorials/47/dummy-head-mic/Lastly, it goes without saying but please go out and VOTE by Nov 5th. No matter where you live or how inconsequential you may think your vote is, it’s still very important right now. We as voters need to bring some balance back so we’re not waking up every morning in a haze of dread and fear. As individualistic as we’re conditioned to be, we should also be making common sense decisions that have a positive impact on our communities, our loved ones and strangers.

Thanks everyone. We really appreciate your support and love! We hope to see you L.A. friends and fans on Sunday. If not, we’ll catch you again soon.
Love,
