Hey everyone! Happy Spring! We have a lot going on, so let’s get into it…
PRESS:
Since we’re on the subject of SXSW, we were stoked to see that we were called out as one of the five best up and coming bands in VARIETY!
“This L.A. outfit’s cover of “Lawyers, Guns, And Money” was like Warren Zevon through the lens of the Clash, and the same could be said of many of this band’s originals, packed with chain-whip guitars, stop-on-a-dime drums, and hook-after-shoutalong hook. Anyone who’s done time in L.A.’s eastside indie scene will recognize at least one member, with players formerly in a slew of buzzbands including the Henry Clay People, The Do-Its and Radars to the Sky; if the underground rock revival surges in a Replacements-style direction, expect the Pretty Flowers to rise to the top of the wave.”
Rosy Overdrive had a nice review of our new single “Police Me” last week!
Festival Announcement:
We haven’t announced this yet, but we are playing the Metro Jam Festival in Manitowoc, WI on June 15! This will be our first time in the mid-west so we’re beyond excited and to boot, we’ll be main support (second to last) to the headliner, Drivin’ N Cryin’. If you have an encyclopedic knowledge of 80’s and 90’s MTV and FM radio, you most likely have heard their hit “Fly Me Courageous”
This festival is FREE and open to the public, so hit up your Wisconsin friends and let them know we’ll be there June 15! FULL line up here.
New Song: “Thief Of Time”
Here’s an exclusive acoustic version of a new song called "Thief of Time." We haven't played this one live yet, but we did record a full band version, which will be on the next album. Enjoy!
SHOWS:
Aside from the festival in June, we are playing in Las Vegas during Punk Rock Bowling weekend with our friends Datamaps at The Griffin!
Maybe we’ll run into Devo…?
There’ll be more shows to announce next month as well.
PICS:
Sam and Noah took film cameras to Austin and during our quick jaunt with Gentlemen Rogues in March. Here are a few choice shots. (NOTE: NOT on our socials!)
MERCH:
We still have some copies of the new “Police Me” flexidisc for sale as well as some leftover shirts and running shorts from the last few shows. Check it out here!
Thanks again for reading and subscribing. Drop us a line, we’d love to hear from you. If not, tell a friend!
Talk next month, eh?
Love, TPF
